To use Scan-to-Design, you’ll need to have a subscription to SketchUp and an iPad, which helps capture the dimensions of your space accurately. You can instantly create a 3D model and start editing right away.

Q: How accurate is the scanning process, and will it capture all the details I need?
A: The scanning process is highly accurate, usually within 1 to 2 per cent of what you’d get with a tape measure. It captures all the significant features of your room, including walls, floors, ceilings, and even furniture.

A: With your 3D model in SketchUp, you can immediately start experimenting with different design ideas.
